There are no baseboards, doorknobs or signposts, and the heating is hidden under the floor. Nothing in Küppersmühle Museum in Duisburg (Germany) could distract attention from the displayed contemporary art. Küppersmühle Museum was established in a former flourmill and accommodates the collection of Hans Grothe. All windows of the old mill were bricked up. Floors and ceilings were burst open to create high exhibition halls and a completely new stairwell was placed against the building’s façade. This architecturally interesting stairwell forms the subject of this series of photographs.

During the first weekend of September, there was much coming and going of people in Tienray (situated in Limburg, nearby Venlo). It was the first time gallery SKIP organised the biggest Graffiti Jam 2005. In collaboration with Job Cox/Sky92, the exterior of gallery SKIP (60 m2) was painted by, among others, Chas, Bah, Does, Nash, Seam, Recal, Ser, Snak, Phunky and Sign. The gallery exhibited work related to graffiti art by Job, Nathalie, Roel, Paul and others. The whole was musically supported by, among others, DJ Poeleck and Don and Roel Funcken.
